In no more than 1500 words, describe a lab-based evaluation experiment to assess the usability of one component of your user interface design from Assignment 3. You should consider the following issues (and all others of relevance from Lecture 11):
· What are your hypotheses?
· What are the key characteristics of the participants you will need to recruit?
· How might you recruit your participants? How many will you require based on the structure of your experimental design?
· What tasks will you ask people to do? What kind of training (if any and/or applicable) will you provide to your participants?
· How many experimental conditions will you be covering? How are they ordered? Are you comparing two or more different design options or are you testing the effectiveness of one option?
· How do you plan on organizing the experimental sessions? What is the procedure you plan to follow with each participant? How will you deliver instructions to your participants? What equipment will you need?
· What data will you need to collect and how?
You should try to justify or explain why you have designed the experiment the way you have. If applicable, draw a sketch of the lab set-up for your experiment. Highlight any potential flaws you might think could compromise your experiment.
